We're very much looking forward to you in 'Letramentos' - Literacies: Reconstructing Meaning in Education, Universidade de São Paulo, 18-20 March 2013.
We have created a Letramentos knowledge community in our 'social knowledge' environment, Scholar. In this space, we have posted a number of readings, and also an initial task for you to do before we meet next week.
Here's what we would like you to do before Monday, 18 March:
1. Visit http://CGScholar.com and create an account. Create a profile in the 'Community' area of Scholar. Hover over the avatar, and click on the little pencil to upload a photo or other image representing yourself. Pull down the menu beneath the yellow bar with your name, and provide information about you who you are to us and the other members of the Letramentos community - 'About' you and your 'Interests'.
2. Search for the Letramentos community and ask to join. (Membership is only granted on request.)
3. After we have received and accepted your request, look for the update 'Pre-Seminar Dialogue' for a small task we would like you to undertake before our first session, and a recommended reading. Also, look for our brief 'Welcome' update, outlining the areas we are going to address in the seminar.
We look forward to working with you.

Mary Kalantzis and Bill Cope
